Dogs and Natural Remedies and Herbs
I have always believed in herbal and natural medicines since my Irish grandmother was a healer. She had a beautiful, lush garden full of herbs , flowers and lovely trees and her kitchen and large pantry was full of jars full of amazing things.
Cultures have been using herbs since the beginning of time and only recently have we started using chemicals, so called medicines which are outrageously priced and probably cause more harm than good such as chemotherapy which is, essentially a poison.
Cancer in dogs is on a par with the rate of cancer in humans because we share the same environment, the toxic chemicals used to clean the house, the pesticides in yards, etc. those plugins which are used to scent our homes are toxic, something the government doesn't want you to know and it allows products which are strictly prohibited in Europe because they are well known to cause all types of cancers.. All these products cause us to become ill and dogs, being closer to the floor and with a keener smell, are more prone to get allergies to the products you use to clean your floors if they are not natural products.

CBD/hemp is good for humans and animals but, as far as I know, has only been used on dogs and horses. The costs in comparison between modern medicine to alternative medicine is immense. Treating any of the above conditions costs a great deal and are not a guarantee.
Studies in Europe and the US show how cannabis or hemp help humans and animals in amazing ways that no pharmaceutical medicine can. CBD oils can be bought at Amazon for a better price than other online stores. I buy bottles of 200 mg and, because my dogs are under 8 lbs, give a few drops, 5-8 drops. Bigger dogs are a quarter of a dropper to a full dropper for the big guys.
Other herbs that should be used widely, Eyebright. It helps fight cataracts in humans and dogs. It is a liquid but also comes in capsules. No side effects except cataracts tend to be minimized or disappear completely.
I have treated dogs with kennel cough, basically a common cold, by putting Echinacea drops in their water. It helps the immune system and my dogs got over Kennel cough in less than 4 days! I also gave them powdered Vitamin C in the food.
. Ensure it is an organic product otherwise you are not reaping the full benefits.
. Don't cheap out: the higher the quality and purity, the higher the cost. Ensure you CBD oil is free of additives and has a good amount of CBD, preferably 200 mg.
. You can ask for a lab analysis of the amount of CBD in the product. Some oils contain small amounts of CBD so read labels carefully and ensure there is little or no THC in the product.
. Buy CBD as a tincture as you can adjust your dog's dose drop by drop to make sure he/she is getting the most benefit.
Start your dog, and yourself, slowly. You will notice an immense difference in how you feel and how your dog feels. The research is there, it is being done and the results are very promising.
